Frequently asked questions
Clear answers before the conversation starts.
Learn how VenuePro works, who it is designed for and what to expect from discovery, implementation and ongoing support.
Start with the essentials
Venue management is more than a booking calendar.
Every organisation has different rules, people, facilities and systems. These answers explain VenuePro’s general approach. The detail for your organisation is confirmed through discovery and an agreed implementation scope.
Platform and fit
Understanding VenuePro.
The platform starts with connected venue operations, then adapts to the organisation using it.
View the platformWhat is VenuePro?
VenuePro is an established venue-management platform built in New Zealand. It connects practical functions such as bookings, payments, memberships, access, facility controls, staff workflows and reporting in one operating environment.
Who is VenuePro designed for?
VenuePro is designed for organisations managing facilities, members, programmes and operational workflows. This includes sports clubs and centres, associations, national bodies and multi-use community venues that need more than an isolated booking tool.
Is VenuePro off-the-shelf or fully bespoke?
VenuePro sits between those two approaches. Customers begin with an established platform core, then relevant rules, workflows, reports and connections are configured around their operation. Any additional development is identified and scoped separately.
What capabilities can VenuePro bring together?
Depending on the agreed solution, VenuePro can support online bookings and payments, memberships, QR or access workflows, programmes and events, point of sale and inventory, reporting, service queues, staff information, facility automation and third-party integrations.
Can VenuePro support more than one sport or activity?
Yes. VenuePro can be configured around venues offering different sports, facilities, programmes, prices and membership types. The important step is defining how those activities should share resources and where their rules differ.
Implementation
Moving from requirements to launch.
Configuration is only one part of a successful venue-system change.
See how we workHow does a VenuePro project begin?
It begins with discovery. VenuePro works to understand the venue, its users, current processes, operational friction, data, reporting needs and required connections before the implementation scope is confirmed.
How long does implementation take?
A typical implementation may take around three months when requirements are clear and the necessary people, data and decisions are available. Timing varies with scope, migration, integrations, testing, hardware dependencies and organisational readiness.
Can you migrate information from an existing system?
Migration can form part of the implementation. The source data, quality, required history and mapping rules need to be reviewed first so the migration work can be scoped, prepared and tested properly.
Do you provide training?
Yes. Training and launch preparation are considered as part of implementation so the people using VenuePro understand the workflows relevant to their roles.
What if we need something the platform does not currently provide?
The requirement is reviewed in context. It may be addressed through configuration, an existing capability, an integration or separately scoped development. VenuePro distinguishes between those paths before making a delivery commitment.
Operations and integrations
Connecting the parts that need to work together.
Integrations and controls are considered around the complete customer and staff journey.
Explore capabilitiesCan customers book and pay online?
VenuePro can support online booking and payment workflows. Availability rules, pricing, customer types, facilities and any approval requirements are configured around the agreed operating model.
Can VenuePro manage memberships and access?
VenuePro can connect membership and access-related workflows, including QR-based entry where appropriate. The final design depends on membership rules, facility access requirements and the selected hardware or access environment.
Can VenuePro integrate with other systems?
Yes, where an appropriate integration path is available and agreed. Relevant accounting, payment, point-of-sale, access or other operational systems are reviewed during discovery and scoped according to the required data flow.
Can the platform work with lighting or building controls?
VenuePro can form part of connected facility-control workflows, including automated lighting. Hardware, electrical and building-control work may require the appropriate specialist providers, with VenuePro handling the agreed software integration.
Is digital signage part of VenuePro?
Digital signage is provided through VenueReel, a separate product that originally grew from VenuePro. Where a venue needs screen content or display information, the two products can be considered together while remaining distinct platforms.
Support and next steps
Working together after launch.
VenuePro is intended to support an ongoing operation, not only the initial project.
Contact VenueProWhat support is available after launch?
VenuePro supports the working platform after go-live and can discuss future operational needs as they develop. Existing customers should include their organisation and enough detail to help the team understand the issue or request.
When and how is support provided?
Normal support operates during New Zealand business hours and is generally provided by email. Expectations for customers in other time zones are discussed with that support window in mind.
Can VenuePro support organisations outside New Zealand?
The platform can support customers operating in other markets. Project requirements, local dependencies and the New Zealand support window should be discussed early so expectations are clear.
How much does VenuePro cost?
Pricing depends on the required platform capability, configuration, migration, integrations and any additional scoped work. Contact VenuePro with a short outline of your organisation and requirements so the appropriate next step can be discussed.
How do we find out whether VenuePro is a good fit?
Start with a conversation about what should work better. Share your venue type, current systems, main operational challenge, important connections and any timing being considered. You do not need a finished specification.
